Our club seeks to help our community with a specific focus on children in need. Though their ages vary as do their situations; these children of our community have a need that we cannot in the depths of our spirits let go. Though we cannot change the immediate life of a child we can make a difference and for one night give them a gift that is not of just material substance. Children do not choose their circumstances, but we can choose our actions, and with the support of our county's teachers and the support of our community, we few can give these children a night they will never forget. May these small things that we do show these little ones that there is love in our community, hope in the future, and support from their Scottish Rite Club; and may we as its members never lose sight of our Father in Heaven that makes it all possible.
The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite (A.A.S.R) is an extension of Freemasonry whereby the 4th through 32nd degrees may be obtained by Master Masons. The honorary 33rd degree is also conferred by the A.A.S.R. for Brothers who exhibit exceptional service. As with all forms of Masonry the A.A.S.R. is not a a religion (although you will find its members to be religious people.)
We meet on the 2nd Thursday night of most months at 7:00 PM at Harper's Restaurant in Scottsville, Ky. Please see this site's schedule of meetings for additional meetings or different locations.
The annual Children's Christmas Party is the first Wednesday night in December starting at 6:00 PM at the James E. Bazzell Middle School in Scottsville,KY.
